text to text connections
We recently read 2 books that had a lot of similarities and differences! We read Go to School, David by David Shannon and Bad Dog, Marley by John Grogan. We loved comparing and contrasting these two stories. Let's blog about the text to text connections that you made with these two stories!

Leah's Pony
Leah's Pony
We recently read the story Leah's Pony by Elizabeth Friedrich. This is such a sweet story that takes place during the time of the Great Depression in a rural area known as the Great Plains . It shows how sometimes we need to have the courage to make choices that we might not like, but we know are the right things to do.
What part of the story was your favorite? Why?
Have you ever had to sell something that was really special to you? Tell about it.

Knuffle Bunny
We recently read the story Knuffle Bunny. We used this story to practice our "book detective" skills for making inferences! During the story, we made some predictions about where Trixie's beloved Knuffle Bunny was. We soon found out that she'd left it at the laundromat. We enjoyed picking up on the visual clues that the author, Mo Willems, had left for us to discover! Let's share our favorite parts of the story!!!
