This is such a sweet story that takes place during the time of the Great Depression in a rural area known as the Great Plains . It shows how sometimes we need to have the courage to make choices that we might not like, but we know are the right things to do.

What part of the story was your favorite? We used this story to practice our "book detective" skills for making inferences! During the story, we made some predictions about where Trixie's beloved Knuffle Bunny was. We soon found out that she'd left it at the laundromat. We enjoyed picking up on the visual clues that the author, Mo Willems, had left for us to discover! Let's share our favorite parts of the story!!!
