This is such a sweet story that takes place during the time of the Great Depression in a rural area known as the Great Plains . We used this story to practice our "book detective" skills for making inferences! During the story, we made some predictions about where Trixie's beloved Knuffle Bunny was. We soon found out that she'd left it at the laundromat. We enjoyed picking up on the visual clues that the author, Mo Willems, had left for us to discover!
